Ryan Pon
Ryan Pon was born in South Africa and moved to Canada at 8 years old. From the moment he arrived, working outdoors wasn't a job — it was where he belonged. What started as a summer student gig grew into Landscape Specialists Ltd., one of Edmonton's most trusted landscaping contractors.
Ryan holds a Diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology from NAIT (2015), giving him a formal foundation in design and drainage that most landscapers simply don't have. He doesn't just build what looks good today — he designs with Edmonton's clay soils, freeze-thaw cycles, and long-term durability in mind. That background informs everything from custom landscape designs to final grading certificates.
He started by doing single-family residential work and doing it exceptionally well. That reputation earned him the attention of Edmonton's largest home builders. Today, Landscape Specialists handles all multi-family landscape installations for Akash Homes and Brookfield Residential — a relationship built over five-plus years of consistent, volume delivery.
